Yearbook Deadline Fast Approaching! April 19th
Only three weeks left to order and customize your 2012-2013 Arundel yearbook! This year we are excited to be working with a new vendor TreeRing. Not only will the book be 80 pages in FULL COLOR, but included in the price ($25+tax) is the option to customize two pages in the book, which will be printed especially for your child.
It’s very easy to customize the pages. You can even upload photos directly from your Facebook or Flickr accounts. The yearbook team has put together a short quick-start guide that gives you information on creating your account, purchasing a book, and customizing your pages.
The pre-order and custom pages deadline is April 19th. PLEASE login and try creating your pages as soon as possible. Don’t wait until the last minute so that if you have any questions or problems, the yearbook team has time to help you.
ATTENTION: LAST CALL FOR PHOTOS
Did you get some great shots of any Arundel events? If so, please logon to:
http://www.treering.com/create
upload them to the TreeRing shared folders as soon as possible so we can include them in the yearbook. See our tip sheet on how to upload photos – http://www.arundelknights.
The deadline for creating the yearbook is coming up and we are in need of the following photos: 100th day of school, talent show, heritage night, 1st grade candids, 3rd Grade candids, staff candids and friendship feasts. Remember, the yearbook will be as good as you make it!

Arundel Parent Education Night- “Feeding our Families”
Join us Thursday, April 25 at 7PM in the MU Room. Learn mindful strategies to raising healthy, balanced eaters in an environment of abundant food and picky palates. Come join the discussion on mealtime and snacking stresses and successes. Discover the important roles we have as parents in teaching eating behavior and learn that our children have important roles at the table too. Examine the information we can learn about food products to decide whether we want them to come into our kitchen. How to make snacks count and still enjoy the ”sometimes” foods.

Principal’s Message, March 5, 2013
I hope everyone in our community is planning on coming to Heritage Night next Wednesday March 13, 2013 from 5-7:30pm. This is one of our major events where we celebrate our diversity with food, music and fun! There will be so many wonderful foods from around the world to try. Don’t miss it!
A reminder to parents that are playgrounds are not supervised after school. I have noticed many students who are not a part of our afterschool programs hanging out and waiting for rides well after school is out. This is simply not safe for children.

Box Tops for Education Submission Date: this Thu Feb 28
Thank you for your continued support in clipping the Box Tops and bringing them to school. Each box top is worth 10¢ when our school redeems them from the Box Tops for Education (BTFE) program. We will be submitting our counted batches of Box Tops this Thursday, February 28, to have them redeemed for cash. (The neater the box tops are clipped and the sooner that we are in receipt of them, the faster we can turn them around for cash).
Don’t have any to be submitted within the week? Don’t worry, just continue to clip and save them throughout the school year. We are always ready to count and sort them so that Arundel can continue to earn credit for the box tops.
