The San Carlos Education Foundation invites you to watch your SF Giants battle the Miami Marlins Friday 6/21 at 7:15 pm. Children from the San Carlos School District will be performing the National Anthem! Tickets are on sale for $35 each at the San Carlos Youth Center weekdays 8:30-5:00. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit SCEF and San Carlos Parks and Rec.

Shop at the San Carlos Bianchini’s on Wednesday, May 16th – Bianchini’s will donate 5% of the entire day’s revenue to SCEF from 7 AM-9 PM.  Drop your change in the SCEF collection jars every time you visit the San Carlos Bianchini’s.  Support your community, support San Carlos schools….Shop local!

Hats Off to everyone who attended the 10th Annual Spring Fling Gala! Over 750 of you joined us on Saturday at the SM Event Cetner for an evening of fun, friendship and fundraising. You made the evening a fabulous success. Cheers to you!

There is still time to be part of the most important fundraiser of the year via our Spring Fling Post-Online Auction. There are 50+ items, which were NOT offered at Spring Fling and others that went unsold because we had a record number of items donated this year. Bidding starts on Wed 3/6 and will conclude on Friday 3/15 atwww.springfling.afrogs.org.  Be sure to share this link with interested friends and family, too.  Your generosity in bidding will assure you win your desired items PLUS it will help SCEF soar to new fundraising heights. Spring Fling is upon us and we need you! There are tons of opportunities to help out before, during, and after the event! That’s right…we are looking for a few good minds to help lead our PTA efforts for next year. Our most pressing needs are:

VP Fundraising - Oversees fundraising efforts
Fun Run Captain - Oversees the Fun Run
Fun Run Carnival Captain - Manages and plans the carnival

5 of our 7 Fun Run team members will graduate in 2014 so we really need a strong group of fun parents to take this over for next year to get a feel for how it is organized and planned. All positions will have a mentor in place to train new volunteers. There are binders to help with logistics and How-Tos. Grab a friend and make it fun!

Hometown Days Parade and Booth – This role is for the event THIS year in May 2013. We have a lead person but we need helpers to coordinate our theme, organize and man the game booth, the volunteers and decorating for our walk in the parade..

All positions can be shared with a friend. All positions have training and mentoring available. All positions are fun, important to keeping Arundel’s programs in place and a wonderful way to be involved in your child’s school experience.

None of the positions require hours and hours of your life. Just a little each month.

It’s Arundel’s Family Fun Night! Happy New Year! We just want to thank everyone for their continued efforts in clipping the Box Tops and bringing them to school. Each box top is worth 10¢ when our school redeems them from the Box Tops for Education (BTFE) program. We are still counting and sorting them so that Arundel can continue to earn credit for the box tops. Cut them out and bring them back to your classroom or the office. (The neater the box tops are clipped and the sooner that we are in receipt of them, the quicker we can turn them around.)
