Learn More About SCEF

It was great to see so many people at Arundel’s Back to School Night! In case some of you missed the SCEF presentation or want to see it again, click here to view the  presentation.

The question was raised about why the funding per student across the local school districts in our area vary so much. Click here to check out an informative and helpful video put together by San Carlos School District Board Member Seth Rosenblatt.

The video explains how K-12 education funding in California works. This presentation reviews the recent history of education finance in the state, including relevant propositions and court cases that have shaped the current system. The presentation also reviews the relationship between the local school districts and the state government as well as the choices faced by school districts in difficult economic times.

For more information about what programs are supported by SCEF, go to: www.scefkids.org  If you have any questions about SCEF, please contact to Arundel’s SCEF Co-Representatives Karen Brewster at ktbrewster96 AT yahoo DOT com or or Jo Wong at  jowong929 AT yahoo DOT com
