Arundel Today
Arundel is a K-4 elementary school of approximately 440 students located in the peninsula city of San Carlos. We house four classes in each grade K-3, with each classroom serving a maximum of 26 students. In fourth grade, the maximum class size is 30. Currently, there are three fourth grade classrooms at Arundel. Arundel also houses three multiage Special Day classes serving children with special needs.
Arundel is rich in human resources with its highly qualified staff, interested and involved parents, and talented, skilled students. In addition to the regular program, Arundel offers:
- Special help for children with learning disabilities and language needs
- Music for grades 1-4
- A P.E. Specialist for grades K-4
- Friendship counselor
- An updated library media center, featuring a 30-station computer lab, online research capabilities and library materials available to classes at all grade levels
- A staff that strives to provide a productive and satisfying school climate, conducive to academic achievement and personal growth for all children
Our classrooms have been modernized with new electrical and plumbing, new data lines, fresh carpeting and whiteboards as well as updated wall coverings and lighting. Construction was completed prior to the start of school in 2007-2008.
Arundel is committed to educating the whole child. We provide a rigorous academic program as well as a variety of experiences to enrich every child’s physical, social and emotional development.
